Don't thread smoothly

I ordered these lids over a year ago and they remain the worst lids I've tried to date. They don't thread smoothly and are a hassle to get on every time. I have a set of grey Ball lids that work smoothly every time. Wouldn't recommend these.

Great product, some minor issues

I’ve had many acidic/salty fermentations that caused regular mason jar lids to rust badly, even ruining some batches with rust. So these are a great alternative, especially for longer-term fridge storage.

I don’t love that they come packaged in a totally unnecessary, pointless plastic bag inside the cardboard box. (The bag isn’t even closed, which shows how pointless it is.)

I also don’t love that the neither the box nor the lids have any indication of what kind of plastic this is. (Polycarbonate? ABS? Something else?) While this isn’t a food safety issue if your ferment isn’t in contact with the lid, it does mean these will go straight to landfill and the end of their lifecycle.
